Smoked pulled pork

This juicy pulled pork is perfect in burgers and tacos but it’s also good enough to have on its own!

Serves: 8

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat a smoker to run at 225 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Generously season your pork shoulder with the Wilson Barbecue pork rub and let sit for 30-60 minutes so that the rub flavours develop.

  3. Place the pork into the smoker and leave for a few hours (while maintaining the temperature of the smoker!), until it develops a delicious mahogany colour.

  4. When you’re happy with the colour of the pork, wrap in tin foil (we use two layers) and continue cooking – this should take another couple of hours.

  5. When the Pork has reached 196F (91.1C), pull it out of the smoker and rest for 30 minutes.

  6. Before serving, pull the meat apart and pour over a generous amount Wilson Barbecue BBQ sauce.
