Smokey steak tacos

Tacos are always a crowd pleaser and they’re super easy to whip up.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 12 mini tortillas

  • 600g steak

  • Slaw

  • Wilson Barbecue smokey steak rub

  • 1 x red onion

  • 2 x tomatoes

  • 1 bunch of coriander

  • Juice of 1 lime

 Method

  1. Season steak with steak rub and sit for around 30 minutes, you want the steak at room temperate before cooking it.

  2. While steak is marinating prepare your fresh salsa. Finely dice red onion, tomatoes and coriander and mix well with lime juice. Season with salt.

  3. Cook your steak to your liking! We love a medium rare steak, but it’s up to you! Once the steak has finished cooking, rest it for half the time you cooked it.

  4. While the steak is resting, wrap tortillas in tin foil and heat in the oven for 5 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

  5. To make the tacos start with the tortillas, followed by some slaw, the steak and then top with some of the fresh salsa! Yum.
